A motorist was killed Saturday night after his Dodge Caravan struck a home at 2270 Grand Central Avenue in the Village of Horseheads.
The victim - a male - has yet to be identified.
Village Police said the Caravan was traveling south on Grand Central Avenue when it struck the right curb near Orchard Street and traveled in a grassy area toward Steuben Street.
The vehicle crossed the median at Steuben Street and traveled south in the northbound lane of Grand Central Avenue until it hit the residence, police said.
The driver was transported by Erways Ambulance to Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira.
The investigation is continuing.
Elmira Heights Police, Chemung County Sheriff's Department, New York State Police out of Horseheads, Horseheads Fire Department also responded to the scene.
