  • Pa. man facing cruelty charges after dog found dead in crate

  • An Elkland man has been charged with animal cruelty following an investigation of a deceased dog found on Cummings Creek Road in Farmington Township last week.
    Pennsylvania State Police in Mansfield charged Matthew S. Stone, 27, Tuesday with animal cruelty, a misdemeanor, following an interview Monday.
    The four-month-old dog was found frozen in a small crate alongside the Northern Tier road Sunday by a neighbor passing by.
