  • A registered sex offender has been charged with allegedly sending nude photos of himself to underage girls he met on Facebook, Bath-based New York State Police reported Wednesday.
Earl L. Kinter, 25, of 24 N. Dansville Road, Cohocton, was charged Tuesday with second-degree disseminating indecent material to minors, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Troopers said Kinter sent nude photographs of himself to girls under the age of 17 and asked them to send him nude photos of themselves.
He was arraigned in Bath Town Court and sent to Steuben County Jail without bail to await a court appearance.
The investigation is continuing and more charges are pending, troopers said.
Kinter was previously convicted of second- and third-degree rape for incidents that occurred in Bath and Avoca.
