Police Blotter for the week ending March 30, 2014.
Steuben County Sheriff
Shawn P. Baker, 44, of Knoxville, Pa., was charged with second-degree burglary and will appear in Town of West Union Court at a later date.
Donovan D. Devost, 20, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Devost allegedly damaged property of Steuben County while in the Steuben County Jail.
Anthony J. Furfar, 40, was arrested and charged with Welfare Fraud in the 5th degree and two counts of offering a False Instrument in the Second Degree.
Allen Wayne Garrison, 42, of Brockport, was taken into custody on a Steuben County Family Court warrant.
Mathew Geyer, 24, of Saubrier Rd., in Bath, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated after it was alleged that he was speeding. He was ticketed for speeding and Driving While Intoxicated and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Bath Court at a later date.
Violation of Discharge
Alissa R. Banach, 28, was arrested after the Village of Bath Court issued a warrant for her arrest for allegedly violating a condition of her pre-trial release from the charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. Banach was remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $2,000/$4,000 bail.
Painted Post State Police
Steven Warner, of Painted Post, was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated after an accident blocked both lanes of County Road 333 in Thurston. Warner will appear in Thurston Town Court at a later date.
Endangering the welfare of a child
Karen A. Matteson, 28, of Campbell, was charged Monday with endangering the welfare of a child.
