Steuben County Sheriff Multiple Charges
• Matthew E. Schnell, 23, of Main Street, Almond, was arrested following an investigation during a traffic stop on April 9 in Hornellsville. Schnell was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana and a traffic ticket for speeding.
Multiple Charges • Colin J. Woodworth, 54, of Jasper, was charged with unsafe speed, operating a commercial vehicle with .06%->.08% B.A.C. and 2nd degree assault. According to police, on March 14, at approximately 1:13am, Woodworth was allegedly the driver of a tractor/trailer that overturned on Main Street in the Village of Addison. Woodworth was found to be impaired by alcohol, according to police. Dean Mitchell, of Canisteo, was a passenger in the vehicle and sustained serious internal injuries in the crash. Mitchell was flown by helicopter to Robert Packard Hospital for treatment. Woodworth will appear in Addison Town Court at a later date.
Bench Warrant • The Steuben County Sheriff's Office arrested Brett Schaffer, 28, of Hanover, Va. on an outstanding bench warrant issued by the City of Corning Court March 23, 2014. Schaffer was in the Steuben County Jail on unrelated charges from the Town of Bath Court. Probation Violation • Edward N. Grayson, 18, was arrested on a warrant for allegedly violating his probation. Grayson was arraigned in Steuben County Court in front of the Honorable Judge Latham and was remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail.
• Matthew L. Smith of State Route 21, Wayland, was arrested in the Town of Wayland on a bench warrant, issued by the Village of Dansville, for aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed operation, and failure to notify address change. Smith will appear in the Dansville Village Court at a later date.
Unlicensed Operation • Joshua S. DePrimo, 22, of Admiral Place, Elmira, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and speed in zone after a traffic stop on Meads Creek Road in the Town of Campbell. Deprimo was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Campbell Court at a later date.
