  • Alfred G. Villani, originally from Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday June 23, 2014 at the age of 90. Born July 25. 1923 in Middletown, N.Y. a World War II Army Veteran was a resident at VA Community Housing in Bath, NY Alfred was predeceased by his wives, Patricia (Pieters) and Isabel (Holt). He was also predeceased by his son, Joel Anthony, sister Isabelle Benjamin, brother Anthony. He is survived by his sister Ann (John) Rogers, sister-in-law, June Villani and daughters Marietta (Pete) Nye of Hammondsport, NY, Michelle (Mark) Thaisz of Williamstown, Ma., Theresa and the late Jim Wegman of Naples, FI. He is also survived by his grandchildren Patricia (Rob) Rissone, Christine (Mark) Taylor, Matthew (Kathryn) Thaisz and Gabriel ( Heather) Thaisz, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces andnephews. Alfred will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. A mass will be held on Monday June 30, 2014, 1 pm at Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church in Hammondsport, New York. Burial will be Tuesday at the National Cemetery, Bath, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lollypop Farm Humane Society, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY.14450. Arrangements are by the LaMarche Funeral Home of Hammondsport, New York.
