  • A 20-year-old man was hospitalized after being stabbed during a fight on Sunset Drive early Tuesday afternoon, according to the Corning Police Department.
Police officers were dispatched to 317 Sunset Drive at 12:35 p.m. for a report of a fight, according to Lt. Jeff Spaulding.
When the officers arrived, they found a man with a knife wound on the front porch of the residence, and called for an ambulance. The stabbing victim, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound.
City police say a “combat by agreement” had taken place in the backyard at 317 Sunset Drive. The stabbing victim began to win the fight, and that’s when the other person stabbed him, police say.
    No arrests have been made.
Police say both the victim and the eyewitnesses to the incident refused to cooperate with the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Corning Police Department at 962-0340, Ext. 1500.
