  • A 16-year-old boy missing from the Alfred-Hornell area is believed to be in Corning, police say.
The teen, whose first name is Mateo, is 5’ 8” with a deep voice. He has texted his mother three times and Hornell City Police say they were able to ping the text messages to the Corning area. He is then turning his phone off. His mother said he does not have a charger for the phone.
Police are considering Mateo a missing person or runaway. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hornell City Police at 324-2860.
