Village boards in Bath and Hammondsport have officially set March 20 as the date for elections to open seats.
In Bath, voters will be asked to choose their next mayor and two trustees for two-year terms, while Hammondsport voters will select two trustees and a village justice.
With caucuses in Bath slated for this week, candidates have yet to be named. However, Democratic Mayor Donna Simonson and Republican Village Trustee John Stranges said earlier they would not seek re-election.
In Bath, the GOP caucus is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal hall, 110 Liberty St. Democrats have scheduled their caucus for 7 p.m. Wednesday in the village board room in the municipal hall.
Other village elections March 20 include:
Avoca – Mayor, two trustees (all two-years terms), village justice (four-year term).
Cohocton – Two trustees, (two-year terms), village justice, (four-year term).
Savona -- Two trustees (two-year terms), village justice (four-year term).
