Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lorentz of Bath recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a week long family get together at the Riu Resort Hotel, Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Jean Margaret Evans and Raymond Lorentz were married at John Keble Church, Mill Hill, London, England on July 9, l960 by the Rev. Renee Simpson, Deputy Chaplain to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Mr. and Mrs. Lorentz spent the first 13 years of their marriage living in Surrey, England where Mr. Lorentz worked for General Electric and then Badalex Ltd. In 1973 Mr Lorentz accepted a position with the Lamp Division of Westinghouse Ltd. and they moved to Trois Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. In July of l985 he was transferred to the Philips plant in Bath where he worked until his retirement in March of 2003.
The Lorentz"s have two children and three grandchildren and since their retirement have spent their winters on the Gulf Shores of Alabama and made trips to various destinations around the world.
