Kathryn Turner and Jack Wood are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married on April 22, 1960 at Kathryn's parents house in Wayne by the Rev. Willis Poole of Wayne Baptist Church. Dorothy and John Drake were their attendants at the wedding. Also in attendance was Kathryn's mother, Ada; her sister, Isabel; and Jack's mother and father Edith and Stanley.
After a weeks honeymoon at Gettsburg and Washington they returned to Bath where they made their home at 18 Vermont Street.
Kathryn retired from Mercury Aircraft after 46 years and Jack retired from Ingersoll-Rand Co. with 40 years of service.
Evie and Bob Bussman, good neighbors and friends, treated the couple to a trip to Letchworth Park and a luncheon at Glen Iris Inn.
Jack's niece, Margaret Thomspon, is planning a family party for them in early May.
