A Woodhull, N.Y., man with a lengthy criminal record allegedly went on a crime spree early Sunday morning, Nov. 4.
Donald J. Vanorsdale, also known as Buzzy, 36, of Allen Road, was charged with several counts of burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property, possessing instruments of a crime and criminal mischief.
Mansfield State Police said Vanorsdale stole a Mountain Home Services pickup truck in Westfield early Sunday morning and drove the truck to nearby Groff Tire, where he took numerous items.
Vanorsdale then traveled to Bradford Forest, in Lawrence Township, where he stole a utility trailer, police said.
He then traveled to Douglas Storage Units, also in Lawrence Township, broke in to several storage units and loaded the contents into the truck and the utility trailer, police said.
Vanorsdale was found early Sunday afternoon behind Adult World in Lawrence County and taken into custody. He was sent to the Tioga County Jail without bail.
Police said Vanorsdale served time in Steuben County Jail earlier this year. He was charged in early March with criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.
