4-H Teen Ambassadors inspire others to learn through 4-H opportunities.

The primary duties of a 4-H Shooting Sports ambassador are to become active partners in marketing and promotion of the organization.

Lindsey was also selected as one of two youth to attend the 2012 National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) SHOT Show in Nevada in January.

Lindsey represented the 'voice' of 4-H & 4-H Shooting Sports and shared her 4-H & shooting experiences in a safe, supportive & positive manner.  She provided visibility of the value of the 4-H youth development & 4-H Shooting Sports programs and was a role model for 4-H, in both safe handling of firearms, bows, and equipment and for the general 4-H program through community service.

She helped recruit other youth and adults to join 4-H as members or leaders.  She met some of the New York State companies and key supporters of the 4-H Shooting Sports Program including Pierce Bullets, Birchwood Casey, GATCO Ithaca Gun, Otis, Crosman, Canal Street Cutlery and Savage Arms.  Empire Pewter of Amsterdam received a visit and presented the crew with their 2012 custom pins.

Lindsey says, “The NSSF Shot Show was an amazing experience. I really enjoy being able to speak about my 4-H experiences with many different companies. The people at Savage Arms, Canal Street Cutlery, and Ithaca Gun Company took a lot of time to talk and show us their products.  I even received a hat from Ithaca after thanking them for how well their guns work for my family.”

Lindsey has been instrumental in starting the Steuben County 4-H Shooting Sports Program.

She has successfully completed trainings as a Junior Instructor for the New York State Shooting Sports Program in five disciplines: Rifle including Air Rifle, Archery, Muzzleloading, Air Pistol, and Hunting/Wildlife.
