Steuben County Farm City Day will celebrate its 12 years of promoting local agriculture this fall.
It will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Gary and Randy Palmer’s farm in Howard.
A different farm is featured each year for this event. The fun, family outing is free and open to the public and offers a chance to sample local products, snack on free milk, cheese, yogurt and potato chips. It is a great opportunity to check out the inner working of a typical Steuben county dairy farm.
Children and adults alike enjoy trying to milk a cow the old fashioned way – by hand! Kids can pet friendly farm animals, get lost in a corn maze, pick a pumpkin and visit numerous agricultural vendors.
