Quota Club to host spaghetti supper

BATH - Quota International of Bath will sponsor a s spaghetti supper on Oct. 14, in O'Malley Hall at St. Mary's Church, in an effort to raise money for the Laurie Anne Shaver Shifflett Scholarship Fund.

The Scholarship was created in memory of a former area resident who was murdered by her abusive husband in her home at Elkton, Va., in 2002. Laurie Shaver is the daughter of Marcia Shaver of Bath, and the sister of Tina Yarrison, also of Bath, who are both members of the Bath Quota club.

In other business, the club held its regular monthly meeting with President Shirley Smith, presiding. The club also sent a donation to the American Red Cross to help the Binghamton Area Flood Disaster Fund and another donation to St. Mary's Church.

The following officers will serve for the next two years: President, Shirley Smith; Vice President, Sheila Martin; Secretary, Pamela Schoonmaker, and Treasurer, Donna Gerych. The Board of Directors are Kathryn Deuel, Marlea Sherwood and Susan Narby.
