William Orr Hough ROCHESTER - William Orr Hough, age 69, formerly of Prattsburgh, NY, died Friday, September 29, 2006 peacefully at home. Friends and family may call at the Bottoni-Wood Funeral Home, 4 Mechanic St., Prattsburgh on Sunday, October 1 from 2 pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. His funeral will be held at the funeral home on Monday October 2nd at 11am with Rev. Scott Lowmaster, o f f i c i a t i n g. Interment will follow at Rural Cemetery in Prattsburgh. Bill was born October 4 1936 in Bath, NY the son of the late Fletcher and Alice Storms Hough. He was employed for many years at Steuben Foods in Prattsburgh, NY. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, and he sponsored, the Prattsburgh Creamery Bowling Team, and enjoyed bowling with fellow players, Bob Parshall and Harold Smalt. He was a loving husband, fa t h e r, a n d grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan Thompson Hough; children, Joshua O. Hough of Elmira, Joseph S. Hough of Ann Arbor, MI, and Wendy S. (Edward) Cowell of Rochester; grandchildren, William, Amanda, Rachel, Jacob, and Nathan Hough, Torie and Zachary Cowell; brothers, Laverne (Barbara) Hough of Bath, Eldon (Marion) Hough of Littletown, PA, and Lyle Hough of Bath; sister, Linda (Frank) Webster of Elmira; sister-in-law, Lois Hough of Bath; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Freemond Hough; and sisters, Norma Puffer and Arlene Buckley. |
