Marshalls celebrate 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Marshall of 17 Rumsey Street, Bath, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their home on September 16, 2006. Mrs. Marshall is the former Joyce Davis of Canisteo. The couple were married at the Canisteo Presbyterian Church on September 16, 1956.
Attendants at the wedding included Maid of Honor Udolphia Grillson. Bridesmaids were Margaret Comstock and Margaret Murray; the flower girl, Dianne Carnes; best man was Ronald Hough; ushers were Arthur Gillson and Ronald Buckley.
The couple has resided on Rumsey Street since November, 1956 and are both members of the Bath Centenary Methodist Church.
Mr. Marshall is retired from the NYS Department of Transportation and Mrs. Marshall is an Executive Secretary at Cole & Valkenburgh law offices in Bath.
They are the parents of three children, Judith (Douglas) Silsbee, Joan (Stephen) Burdick, Timothy (Karen) Marshall and five grandchildren Tara Silsbee, Nathan Silsbee, Danica Burdick, Dylan Marshall, and Justin Marshall, all of Bath.
A special guest at the party was Dianne Carnes Carney and her husband, Roger. Dianne was the flower girl at their wedding and is a niece of Mrs. Marshall.
