Leadership changes not always for the best
To the Editor,

Beware the winds of change!

I attended the debate between Randy Kuhl and Eric Massa. I warn the voters in this area to think long and hard before making a "change."

Do you know Eric Massa? Does he know you? Where is he from? Has he worked in the past 4 years and where? Did you know he was a Republican before recently turning Democrat? Does he have any political experience?

Before you vote, think of the many positive projects, local grants and improvements Randy has brought to this area. I, myself, experienced the benefits of his expertise and advice in securing a grant for the Village of Bath Wilson Skate Park. Without his help, that project would not have become a reality. many volunteer fire departments, farmers and developments such as Watkins Glen Race Track have benefited from Randy's input.

Randy will not forget us while in Washington. Will Mr. Massa? Randy is only one vote and cannot change anything overnight but he has been our vote and continues to represent and protect our interests. Progress takes time and Randy's progress is obvious.

You may not believe in everything Randy has done or has voted on in the past, but do know that he is one of us. He has worked tirelessly for the "little people." He knows everyone and has not forgotten where he came from. Does Mr. Massa know how to get to Pulteney? Branchport? Prattsburgh? Cohocton? Does he even know they exist? Does he care about these small villages and their projects? Will he remember after the election? Randy has and will continue to remember us.

I do not agree with Mr. Massa's negative ads filled with lies. I applaud Randy for handling these matters with a calm response. Think people. This is very important decision for our area. We need Randy's voice in Washington voting for us. Beware the winds of change - they may turn on you! Change is not always good.
