Lyndes named C-S chief CAMPBELL - Campbell- Savona interim Superintendent Lynn Lyndes can remove the 'interim' from his name. The Campbell-Savona school board has voted to name Lyndes the district's superintendent. "I am very pleased with the appointment," Lyndes said. "I am looking forward to serving the community and hope to continue moving the district in the right direction." Campbell-Savona has been without a permanent superintendent since February, when former Superintendent Scott Layton resigned unexpectedly. It was later discovered Campbell-Savona was in debt $3 million, largely because of the 2004-05 budget developed by Layton. Lyndes was named acting superintendent in March when it looked like Campbell-Savona was going to annex Bradford after both districts voted to approve the annexation In November. He was also the Bradford superintendent.
Lyndes said the process of naming a superintendent took a couple months to complete, adding the district followed the procedure recommended by GST BOCES Superintendent Tony Micha. |
