Dormann hosts annual 'Spook Fest'
The Dormann Library last month held its annual Spook Fest, honoring winners of the library's annual writing contest, pictured at left, who either read or told about their stories and received their prizes. The stories are on display in the children's section of the library. Many thanks to all who entered and helped with the contest. The Friends of the Dormann Library look forward to next year's spooky writings. The UPK, BK, K, and 1st grades winners are: first place, Morgan Reynolds, K; Second place, Sam Arnts, BK; Third place, Matthew Binkowski, 1st grade; Honorable Mention, Jessica Dowdle, UPK; Honorable mention, Kyra Baker. 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade: First place, Dana Barry, 3rd grade; second place, Craig Jackson, 2nd grade; third place, Luke Snavely, 3rd grade; honorable mention, Steven Binkowski, 3rd grade. 4th and 5th grades: First place, Sarah Wright, 5th grade; second place, Hunter Shoemaker, 4th grade; Third place, Pam Shugars, 5th grade; honorable mention, Shannon Barry, 5th grade; honorable mention, Ariana Manikas, 5th grade. 6th, 7th, and 8th grades: First place, Ashley Shugars, 6th grade; second place, Marissa Volz, 7th grade; third place, Shannon Dowdle, 6th grade. 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades: First place, Cassie Funk, 10th grade; second place, Noelle Pederson, 10th grade; third place, Sam Robbins, 10th grade; Honorable mention, Adam Snavely, 10th grade.
