Viola G. (Stryker) Fraker

HARRISON, ARKANSAS - Viola G. (Stryker) Fraker of Harrison, Arkansas went to her maker on October 24, 2006 at the age of 78 after a short illness at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Missouri.

Viola was born May 3, 1928 to Henry Ward Beecher Stryker and Mabel (Haight) Stryker in Penny Yan. She was raised in Yatesville, and attended Yatesville Methodist Church. She graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1947. She married Edward A. Mattoon and worked for the Dromedary Company and was a mother and housewife.

Later is life she worked for Michael Stern as a seamstress. On July 1, 1967 she married Lewis M. Fraker. She became a stay at home mom and homemaker. She loved country music, hummingbirds and flowers (especially yellow roses.) She was a Bill Ray Cryus Fan and Fan Club Member, loved the New York Yankees, Auto Racing as well as playing cards, dominoes, and bingo.

She moved with her family to Gonzales, California then, Sierra Vista, Arizona and then settled in Harrison, Arkansas until death.

She was preceded in death by her first daughter, Virginia G. Mattoon, her first husband and her sister Mildred (Stryker) Meyer. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Lewis M. Fraker of Harrison, Arkansas, her brother Jay (Elezabeth) Stryker Sr. of Waterloo. Two daughters Mary Lou (Robert J.) Cartwright of Bath, Kimberly M. Fraker of Harrison, Arkansas. Four grandsons: Robert C. (Becky) Cartwright of Lindley, James (Terri) Cartwright, Taw A. Wilson, and Nathan (Jessica) Cartwright all of Bath. Two great grandsons and one great granddaughter: Austin C. Cartwright, Austin L. Hamilton, and Miss. Madison B. Cartwright also of Bath. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins and her loving cat Buddy.

A memorial service will be held in Harrison, Arkansas for friends. A memorial service will be held in New York for family and friends late spring/early summer of 2007.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Skaggs Foundation, PO Box 650, Branson, Missouri 65615 for the CCU.
