John D. Hallifax BATH - John D. Hallifax, 78 of 136 W. Morris Street, Bath, died Monday, November 6 at home. He was born in Lockport, the son of the late Charles and the late Anna M. (Durie) Hallifax. John was a cook at Madigans Restaurant in Bath. He had also worked as a restaurant manager at Grant's in Bath. He was a member of the Bath Lions Club. John loved to play golf. He is survived by four daughters: Judy (Chester) Snell of Bath, Victoria (Nathan) Hale of Hollis, Jacqueline Hallifax of Tallahassee, Florida, Darcy (Kenneth) Cherry of Bath, three grandchildren: Jordan Snell and Jeremy Snell of Bath, and Marilee King of Rochester, two sisters: Elaine Ridler of East Amherst, Shirley Ridler of Camillus and one brother: Charles Scott Hallifax of Tonawanda, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Bernadine Weintraub and Claire Fiaraci. Friends called Thursday, November 9 from 12-2 p.m. at Fagan's Inc Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St, Bath. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 9 at 2 p.m. at Fagan's Inc Funeral Home with Deacon Ray Defendorf officiating. Interment was held Thursday, November 9 in Bath National Cemetery, Bath. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to the charity of one's choice. |
