Janet M. (Strait) Beyea

BATH - Janet M. (Strait) Beyea, 81, of Bath passed away on Wednesday November 8.

Janet was born July 2, 1925 the daughter of Earl and Edith (Cornell) Strait.

She is survived by her sister Margaret Spicer of Kerriville, Texas; her daughter Pamela (Thomas) Southard-Park of Bath; grandson Sean (Jen) Southard of Bayside Queens; grandson Chad Southard of Chicago; one great grandson, John Edward Southard of Bayside Queens, and her daughter-in-law Sunny Beyea of Hernando, Florida.

Janet was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her sons, William K. Beyea of Hernando, Florida and Edward F. Beyea of Roosevelt Island; her son-in-law John J. Southard of Bath; brothers Kenneth Strait, of Kissimme, Florida; Jack Strait of Painted Post; Paul Strait and sister Jean Fitzwater both of Bath.

Janet was a lifetime resident of Bath. She was employed by Fagan's Furniture and Funeral Home for many years prior to retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Bath and the former Moose Club of Hammondsport. In her earlier years she was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards. Janet always enjoyed her time with family and she will be in our hearts forever.

Family and friends were invited to call at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St, Bath, with calling hours from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, November 11. A memorial service was held at noon following calling hours with Deacon Ray Defendorf officiating.
