Lauren Finlayson and Jedidiah Shugars
Lauren R. Finlayson and Jedidiah T. Shugars of Park Place, Bath have announced their wedding.
Lauren is the daughter of Sherry McClurkin of West Lake Rd., Hammondsport. She is a graduate of Hammondsport Central High school and received an Associates Degree from Corning Community College. She is now employed at Haverling School as a teachers aide.
Jedidiah is the son of Henry and Patricia Shugars of E. Morris St., Bath. He is a graduate of Haverling High school and is now employed as maintenance at Haverling school.
Lauren and Jedidiah were married on July 29 of 2006 at Norton Chapel Keuka Park, Keuka Park. Anne Killen of Branchport officiated at the double ring ceremony. Holly Finlayson was the reader and Ellie Boutwell of Bath was the organist. Lauren was given in marriage by her uncle Bruce Irwin of SanFrancisco, California.
The brides gown was a strapless with clear beading, cathedral length train, and fingertip veil. The bouquet of flowers was white lilies and lavender roses.
The maid of honor was a friend of the couple, Jacqueline Miller of Neptune Beach, Florida. She wore a strapless, tealength lavender and corn flower gown. Her bouquet of flowers were lavender alstromerias with white roses.
Bridesmaid's were: friend of the couple, Jennifer English of Richmod Virginia; and sister of the bride, Kristin Allyn of Hammondsport. Their gowns were strapless, tealength lavender and corn flower. Their bouquets were lavender alstromerias and white roses.
The flower girls were Devyn and Megyn Allen of Bath, cousins of the groom. They wore petal gowns with floral head wreaths.
The groom and ushers wore black suits with lavender ties. Best man was friend of the couple, Michael Crossett of Tampa Bay Florida. Usher's were Henry Shugars Jr. of Prattsburgh, and Mark Guthrie of Campbell. Both men are brothers of the groom.
Lauren and Jedidiah's reception was semiformal and held at the Knights of Columbus. Their wedding trip was at Virginia Beach, Virginia.
