Coming up

New Member Drive November 30 - The Bath Rotary Club's November 30 luncheon meeting will begin with a new member drive. Please bring names of potential members in the community so the club can make this year's membership drive as successful as last years.

Bath Rotary Club President Al Johnson thanked all who participated in the previous discussion and reminded us to send comments to either him or Mike Slovak.

The annual Bath Rotary Club Christmas party and Chinese Auction will be held on Dec. 7 at St. Mary's Hall. A social hour will beginat 6 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. Price: $20.00 per person (please pay in advance). Ray Defendorf will be the auctioneer. Bath Rotary gets Foundation update

Rotary Club Foundation Chair Mike Blatt recently addressed the Bath Rotary Club, presenting a Power Point presentation titled "Every Rotarian Every Year: Our Rotary Foundation."

He spoke about the main parts of the Foundation:

 The Annual Fund, which returns 50 percent of the money given to individual clubs for club projects

 The Permanent Fund, is an endowment that supports world wide initiatives such as

the successful Polio Plus project.

Other projects funded by the Foundation include the Group Study Exchange, which teams a Rotarian with four non-Rotarians who visit different countries to learn about the culture, and the

Ambassadorial Scholarship, which funds students who visit different countries to spread goodwill.

At the end of the presentation, he distributed copies of a brochure with information members can use to make a g i f t t o t h e Foundation.Program.
