The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum's Curator Rick Leisenring has reported one of the busiest summer in its history. "The Military Vehicle Show", an exhibit of vintage 1930's gowns and movie memorabilia from the Golden Age and the Indiana Jones Movie Memorabilia Exhibit has all been well-received by the public. And, the just completed annual Corning Embroiderer's Guild Exhibit "Hand Wrought; An Embroidery Art Exhibit" was extremely well-received with over 280 entries." he reports.

On view at the museum with the annual middle November-late January Miniatures and Dollhouse Exhibit, have come within two days time, two beautiful vehicles on loan. First is a 1922 Ford Model T "Depot Hack" loaned the museum by Dick Rogers of Hackettstown, New Jersey. The truck has been placed with the Museum's 1927 Curtiss Oriole. This winter, Leisenring plans on "setting up a vignette using mail bags and a mannequin to add action to the static display." The other vehicle is a 1941 Buick Estate Wagon also known as "Woody Wagon." The gorgeous vehicle has been a 13-year restoration project of Guy and Anita Bennett. They got the job done last month and before loaning it to the museum, they took "Woody Wagon" to Hershey, Pa. where they entered it in a major car show where it took first place. The Buick today sits proudly on the main floor with Bennett's 1937 Chris-Craft and trailer following behind, all ready for a day on the lake.
