Gerald A. Littell PAINTED POST - Gerald A. Littell, 84, of Painted Post, passed away Thursday, November 23 at Corning Hospital. Gerry was born on April 20, 1922 in Campbell, the son of the late Arthur and Anna (Speary) Littell. He was an Erie Freight Agent for 42 years in Campbell, Savona, and Bath where he retired from Conrail in 1981. Gerry was a 54-year member of the Savona Masonic Lodge, receiving his dedicated service award in 1980. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, his many collections and spending time with his family and friends. He married Ruth Tobias on October 24, 1942, in Savona and they recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Gerry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is predeceased by his children; Kathleen Littell, Gary Littell Sr., and Peg Moran, his sister, Laura Adams, his brothers, Walter, Lester, Jack and Claire Littell. Gerry is survived by his wife Ruth, his children, Penny (Don) Sorge of Avoca, Rick Littell of Savona, Gerry Jr. (Noelia) Littell of Deltona, Florida, Janice Littell of Savona, and Chris Littell of Painted Post, 11 grandchildren, and 4 greatgrandchildren. Calling hours were observed November 26 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Bond- Davis Funeral Home of Bath where there will be a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, November 27 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Sande Thomas officiating. His burial will be in Seamans Cemetery, Savona. Memorial contributions may be made in Gerry's name to the American Cancer Society or to a Charity of One's Choice. |
