Angell named top sales rep Atlanta, Ga., a graduate of Haverling High school, was recently honored in Las Vegas as national sales rep of the year for BENCO Dental. He was also recognized with more than $2 million in sales. Shawn is a 1995 graduate of Bath- Haverling and a 1999 graduate from Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, S.C. While at Haverling, he was the running back for the Rams football team and was in the finals at Fauver Stadium in 1993 and 1994. He also was third baseman and lead-off batter for the baseball team that won sectionals in 1994 and 1995. He won the butterfly and IM (for which he still holds the record at school) in swimming and was also a member of relay teams. His team won sectionals in 1993,1994 and 1995.

He is the son of Debi and Rick Angell of Hornell and the grandson of DeForest Angell (Hornell) & Vernon (Red) Towner (Avoca). Five Star announces VP appointment

Five Star Bank recently announced Rhonda Sweet has been appointed assistant vice president and branch manager of the bank’s Bath branch

She will be responsible for all branch management functions.

Sweet has been employed with the bank for more than 12 years and previously was assistant branch manager and branch manager for the former Bath National Bank. She also worked at Columbia Bank
