Interstate 86 accident
Clean-up crew haul away the remains of a tractor trailer that overturned on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 86 near the the Savona exit on Dec. 13. The driver, Oleksndr Banit of North York, Ontario, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right and not wearing a seatbelt. The accident closed a portion of the interstate for several hours. State police investigating the accident were assisted by Bath police, sheriff’s deputies and firefighters from Savona and Bath.
