Grace E. Stone

CAMPBELL — Grace E. Stone age 77, of Campbell died Saturday, December 23 in Campbell.

Grace was born in Naples, on November 20, 1929, to Leon and Charlotte (Blencowe) Peck. She married Rodney Stone in Elmira in 1949. She worked many years at Nichols Discount Store in Painted Post as a receiving clerk. Grace loved her family very much and loved to spend time with them. She enjoyed doing crafts, playing cards, bowling, and camping.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Rodney; three daughters, Trudy (William) Gauss, Jerry (Doug) Horton, and Vicky (Khiem) Nguyen; two sons, Dan (Jackie Phenes) Stone and Leon (Hope) Stone; one sister, Fannie Wright of Naples; daughterin law, Melanie Stone; sisters-in-law, Betty Wagner, Jean Peck, Madeline Smith, and Brenda Peck; brotherin law, Ray (Clara) Stone; several nieces and nephews; 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Grace was predeceased by her son Gary Stone in 2005.

Calling hours were held on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street in Corning, where Funeral Services were held on Thursday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dale Ingraham officiating. Burial was held in Hope Cemetery in Campbell.
