Community lucky to be served by local hospital

Dear editor,

I recently was admitted to Ira Davenport Hospital and wanted to share my experience with the community.

in the past year, unfortunately, I have had experiences with Sayre/Robert Packard Hospital and Cleveland clinic. While these hospitals have state-of-the art technology and doctors with advanced knowledge in specialties, our Ira Davenport stacks up in many other ways.

the care I received from ER physicians Dr. Maisonave and cardiologist Dr. LaDelia. They delivered care with compassion while being thorough and knowledgeable about the nuances of my medical history.

In addition, my physicians' partner, Dr. Brammer, coordinated care and visited me while in the hospital. Of course, Dr. O'Connor, my regular physician, has always looked out for my well-being as he would his own mother.

All in all, we should feel lucky as a community to have such a level of medical care available in our small town.

Sincerely, Iva Lou Trent Bath
