DWI Bath village police last week charged William T. Johnson, 53, of Bath with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08 percent, failure to signal and driving in the center lane. Johnson is to appear in village court at a later date. Bad check Village police charged Burdette Youngs, 48, of Canisteo with two counts of issuing bad checks in the Village of Bath. Youngs is to appear at a later date in village court. Pot Kim Brock, 46, of Bath was charged last week with unlawful possession of marijuana. She was issued an appearance ticket for a later date in village court. Court order violation Village police last week arrested Rayvon D. Butler, 19, of 125 W. Morris St., Bath, on a charge of seconddegree criminal contempt for allegedly violating a court order of protection stemming from an earlier domestic incident. Butler was arrested after police responded to a report of a possible stabbing at 109 Howell Street. Further investigation showed an altercation between two individuals had resulted in no serious injuries. Butler was arraigned in village court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or a $4,000 property bond. He is to reappear in village court at a later date. An investigation into the incident continues and more charges are pending. Weapon Vincent Morris, 48, of Bath, was charged last week with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon stemming from a domestic complaint. He was arraigned in village court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or a $2,000 property bond. Powder cocaine Village police on Jan. 4 arrested William S. Loquasto, 39, and Durell J. Johnson, 20, both of Bath on drug charges stemming from an investigation into the sale of powder cocaine in the Village of Bath. Loquasto was charged on a Superior Court warrant with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Johnson also was charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Loquasto and Johnson were both arraigned in Steuben County Court and remanded to the county jail on no bail. DWI Sheriff deputies on Jan. 4 charged Brian J. Hojnoski, 38, of Bath with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08 percent and driving an uninspected motor vehicle. Hojnoski was stopped by deputies in Kanona after they received a report from an individual concerned he was intoxicated when he had left Canisteo. Controlled substance Sheriff's deputies last week arrested Stephen J. Haar, 23, of 4 Exchange St., Avoca, on charges of thirddegree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Haar allegedly sold a quantity of crack cocaine in Avoca during the month of october. He was remanded to the the county jail on $10,000 cash bail or a $20,000 property bond. |
