Lawrence (Larry) M. Para

HAMMONDSPORT - Lawrence (Larry) M. Para, 52, passed away, Saturday, Jan. 20.

He was born Dec. 7, 1954, the son of Alphonse Para and Mildred (Ward) Para.

Larry was a lifetime resident of the Hammondsport Area and graduated from Hammondsport High School. He furthered his education by attending Geneseo State College an obtained a degree in Education.

Larry taught at many local schools over the years. He had a great love for animals an gardening.

He was predeceased by his father, Alphonse Para, his mother, Mildred (Ward) Para, and his sister Constance (Ward) Moorehouse and his beloved dog, Cameo.

Surviving him is his Aunt Shirley (Howe) Para, residing in Endicott, several cousins and a very dear and close friend, Roberta (Bobbi) Sparling of Tyrone.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Finger Lakes SPCA, Inc., at 7315 St Rt 54, Bath, New York and the Hammondsport Volunteer Ambulance Service in Hammondsport, New York.

A private funeral will be held. Arrangements are by the LaMarche Funeral Home of Hammondsport.
