Bath swim team sweeps Campbell-Savona, Addison BATH - Senior Johnlee Covell was victorious in two events Monday and helped the Bath Haverling swim team top Addison and Campbell-Savona by scores of 57-44 and 60-36, respectively, to close out the regular season . All four of the Rams' seniors went home with wins on senior night, as Covell took the 50 freestyle and was on the winning 200 free relay team. Fellow senior Steve Daley joined Covell on Bath's triumphant 200 medley relay team, while seniors Steve Joint (200 freestyle) and Travis Ferree (200 free relay) also picked up win s. "Tonight was our senior night, so we were honoring our four seniors," said Bath Haverling head coach Mike Morris. "It was nice to see that each of them had an opportunity to win an event in their last dual meets of the season ." The Rams also got individual wins from Adam Webster (200 individual medley), Eric Hojnoski (diving) and Dan Robinson (100 butterfly). Addison won its matchup with Campbell-Savona by a 60-36 final. The Knights were led by Lathiam Knapp's win in the 100 freestyle and Dan Carr's victory in the 100 breaststroke. Despite tallying two losses at the event, the Panthers did manage to have the top times in three events. Campbell-Savona's Wade Herrington won the 500 freestyle and Jason Smith prevailed in the 100 backstroke. The 400 free relay team of Smith, Brittany Buckley, Herrington and Teeter also took home a firstplace finish. Bath finished the regular season with a 12-5 record and hosted the Livingston County Athletic Association 's championship at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3. |
