Grand larceny Bath village police last week arrested Kris L. Koerner, 46, of Bath on a charge of 4th-degree grand larceny for allegedly obtaining building materials while charging the expense to another individual. Koerner was arraigned in village court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail. The investigation continues. Controlled substance Steuben County Sheriff's deputies last week arrested Jeffrey D. Post, 35, of Savona on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a thirddegree controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance. Post was remanded to the Steuben County Jail, with further charges pending. His arrest stems from a sixmonth investigation through the Steuben County District Attorney's Drug Initiative, with assistance from the DA's office, Bath Police Department, Corning police and the Chemung County Sheriff's office. Vehicle crash Sheriff's deputies are investigating a single vehicle crash on the Chamberlain Road in the Town of Avoca that involved the operator of the vehicle leaving the scene and not reporting the incident. The accident occurred at about 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 2. The heavily damaged vehicle was towed from the scene. |
