An unidentified individual

escaped a fire at 105 W. Washington St., Bath, that

broke out at about 2:29

a.m. Wednesday. Bath firefighters were joined by

fire companies from the

Bath VA, Avoca, Savona,

Kanona, Hammondsport, Pulteney and Wayne, and a

Bath ambulance also was

at the scene. No injuries

were reported. Bath fire Chief Mark Conrad said the

fire started through an

electrical malfunction.
