Kerry S. Freeland

A consumer's DUNDEE - Kerry S. Freeland, age 37, of Dundee, died Sunday, March 4 in a car accident with her husband and son.

Friends called from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. Funeral services will be Private with Pastor David W. LeRoy officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee on a date to be announced in the Spring.

The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to a Scholarship fund being established for Samantha Freeland c/o Five Star Bank 32 Main St. Dundee 14837; or to a Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of "Rusty" Freeland c/o Dundee Dollars for Scholars P.O. Box 204 Dundee 14837.

Kerry was born August 29, 1969 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ronald J. and Darlene A. Peterson Lamson. A 1987 graduate of Bradford High School in Pennsylvania, where she played clarinet in the H.S. Band; she attended Clarion University from 1987-89, and was a member of the Symphony Orchestra. She graduated from Alfred State in 1992 with a major in business, and a minor in accounting. On March 18, 1989 in Canisteo she married Timothy A. Freeland; they had lived in Dundee since 1994. She was the manager of Follett Bookstore, at Keuka College, in Penn Yan. Kerry attended Victory Highway Wesleyan Church, was a former Girl Scout achieving the highest rank of Gold Award; she enjoyed reading, cross stitch, and was an avid and obsessive collector of Koala Bears.

She is survived by her only daughter Samantha N.Freeland at home; her mother Darlene Lamson of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, her father Ronald Lamson of Spanaway, Washington; a sister Tracy (David) McDermot of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
