Timothy A. Freeland
Friends called from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. Funeral services will be Private with Pastor David W. LeRoy officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee on a date to be announced in the Spring. The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to a Scholarship fund being established for Samantha Freeland c/o Five Star Bank 32 Main St. Dundee 14837; or to a Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of "Rusty" Freeland c/o Dundee Dollars for Scholars P.O. Box 204 Dundee 14837. Tim was born December 6, 1961 in Hornell, the son of Russell A. and Jessie I. Marvin Freeland. He graduated from Hornell High School in1980; and had attended Corning Community College. He served two tours in the U.S. Navy during Operation Desert Storm. On March 18, 1989 in Canisteo, he married Kerry S. Lamson. They have lived locally since 1994, previously of Newport News, Virginia. Tim was an Electrician employed by American Motive Power, in Dansville. He attended Victory Highway Wesleyan Church, and was a member of the Bath VFW. He was and avid NASCAR, and Rusty Wallace fan, drove stock car at Black Rock Speedway and enjoyed John Wayne Movies. He is survived by his only daughter Samantha N.Freeland at home, his mother Jessie I. Freeland and a brother Gregory A. (Rose) Freeland all of Asheboro, North Carolina; two sisters Pamela M. (Glenn) Spiggle of Jupiter, Florida, and Cindi J. (Leon) Woodworth of Hartsville; paternal grandparents Alton (Elizabeth) Freeland of Newark; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father Russell A. Freeland on Aug. 15, 1990. |
