Charles Asa Jr.

WOODFORD - Charles Asa Jr. of Burdett, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Elmira. He was born Sept. 29, 1940, the son of Charles A. and Florance Woodford Sr.

He is survived by his children, Brenda Beale of England, Paula (Scott) Dunbar of Alpine, and Eugene (Mary) Woodford, Elmira; a daughter-in-law, Kelly, of Wisconsin; Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Carolyn Taylor Woodford, interlaken, Robert (Carol) Woodford of Hudson, Massachusetts; his loving companion, Martha White of Burdett; several nieces, nephews and cousins; one aunt, Pauline Woodford of Burdett; three uncles, Donald (Joan) VanCise of Elmira; Gerald Mapes of Freeville, and Earl (Lelis) Beecher of Montazuma.

He was predeceased by his parents, on son, William L. Woodford; brother, William E. Woodford and his first wife, Maryanne Tudl Woodford. A memorial service was held at the Burdett Methodist Church on Thursday, March 1. Internment at Laurel Hill Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
