Stuart "Sparky" Campbell
FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ - Stuart "Sparky" Campbell, 75 years young, of Fountain Hills, AZ began a new journey on April 29, 2007 after a 5 year crusade with Melanoma Cancer. Born on August 7th, 1931 in Oneonta, NY to Stanley and Ruth Campbell. Raised in Unadilla, NY, Sparky graduated from Alfred State College, where he met his wife, Janet Carl and was married September 1, 1951. In addition to his wife, Sparky is survived by four daughters: Patricia (Peter) Lauzze of Bath, NY; Nancy Muller of Orlando, Fla; Susan (Thomas) Knapp of Fountain Hills, AZ; Lori (Gary) Wheeler of Peoria, AZ. His greatest joy were his ten grandchildren; Kevin (Holly) Lauzze, Sara Lauzze; Douglas Muller, David Muller, Ryan Muller; Kierstan Schultz, Gabrielle Schultz, Alexandra Schultz; Nicholas Wheeler and Lauren Wheeler. He is also survived by two brothers Walter and Stanley, and a sister Margaret.
Sparky owned and operated Frey & Campbell, Inc., Vine City Supply and Viking Mechanical. He worked along side his many valued and committed employees that were highly respected by him. Upon retirement in 1986, Sparky enjoyed traveling, spending family time at Keuka Lake, following the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks and playing the slots. He was also known as the "fastest draw of the west" with the dinner tab!
A private graveside service at Pleasant Valley, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656.
Spark will be most remembered as a fun spirited friend by all and is now at peace. His love for life will be cherished by those who were fortunate to have been his friend…CHEERS!
