Margaret Blanche Cook

SUNSET HARBOR, NORTH CAROLINA - Margaret Blanche Cook passed away March 14 in Sunset Harbor, North Carolina. She was born on March 22, 1920, the daughter of Dewey and Blanche Chase. She resided in Bath since 1956 and has spent winters in Sunset Harbor for the past 20 years.

Marg was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was locally known for her delicious pastries and baked goods and was a great homemaker. He hobbies included caning and reupholstering furniture, oil paintings and watercolors. She and her husband, Clesson, worked together refinishing beautiful antique furniture that now fills their home in Bath. She was actively involved as a Red Cross volunteer and took great pride in her flower gardens. She was well read and always a soft spoken, gentile woman.

Marg is survived by her husband, Clesson, whom she married on April 23, 1943. She is also survived by her children Donna (David) Kinard of Franktown, Colorado, Marcia (Al) Marano of Strongsville, Ohio, Gary (Brooke) Cook of Chesterfield, Virginia, and Larry (Pat Powell) Cook of Bath, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and her sisters Betty McIntosh of Ovid and Marion Ramsdell of Canastota.

Services were held in Sunset Harbor, North Carolina on March 21. A Memorial Service, for family and friends, will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Bath on May 19, 2007 at 11 a.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice or a favorite charity.
