Alice E. Horton

WAYNE - Alice E. Horton, 80, of 9291 Grove Springs Road passed away Monday, April 2, at the Corning Hospital.

She was born Nov. 7, 1926 in Geneva, the daughter of Frank and Lena Stickler Robbins.

Her husband Winston C. Horton pre-deceased her on Feb. 21, 1984.

Alice was an avid square dancer, and country music fan and was devoted to her family.

Surviving are her daughters Sharon (Edward) Sutryk of Hammondsport and JoAnn (William) Day of Penn Yan. Sister Laura (Clarence) Horton of Painted Post, brother Wilbur (Ann) Robbins of Bath. Grandchildren Edward (Shelia) Sutryk III, Karen (John) Harris, John (Tammy) Sutryk and Michelle (John) Kulyeshie. 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a special friend and companion Jerome Wright.

Friends called Wednesday, April 4, from 7-9 p.m. at the LaMarche Funeral Home of Hammondsport where funeral services were held Thursday, April 5, at 11 a.m. Rev. Paul J. Rowley officiated and Interment was held in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport.
