Mabel "Eva" Marvin DEERFIELD - Mabel "Eva" Marvin, 80, of Croissant Circle, Deerfield, passed away Sunday, March 25 at home. Eva was born on Feb. 12, 1927 in Bath, the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Burt) Holden. She was a graduate of Campbell Central School and on Jan. 11, 1946 married Claude Marvin in the Chapel at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. They had a blessed marriage of 61 years. Eva was a devoted craft person having been the chairperson of the Cayuga County Home Bureau. She was also employed with the A&P Food Processing Plant in Big Flats, and later as a cook in the Corning-Painted Post West High School. Eva loved cats and was an avid Syracuse University Basketball fan. Eva is survived by her husband, Rev. Claude; two daughters, Dr. Patricia Marvin of St. Augustine, Florida and Denise Marvin of Marcy; one son, Lynn Marvin of Utica; a sister, Ellen Hunt of Painted Post; and a brother-in-law, C h a r l e s Marvin of Harlington, Texas. Mrs. Marvin's funeral service was held Thursday, March 29, Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer, Rd., Utica, with the Rev. David Kirkpatrick o f f i c i a t i n g. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Kirkland. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., or the First Baptist Church of Newport.
