Bath Eels swim to victory

The Bath Eels Swim Team traveled recently to Owego to compete in the Southern Tier Swim League Championships Swim meet on March 10.

Eleven team members made the trip, and six scored in the top 16 in their events. With six swimmers scoring points, Bath as team, finished in 16th place.

The following Eels took home ribbons in three events: Tyler Easterbrook placed 4th in the 100 Individual in the, 5th in the 50 Backstroke, and 7th in the 50 freestyle. Joseph Skelly placed 5th in the 50 Butterfly, 9th in the 50 Backstroke and 11th in the 50 Freestyle.

Emily Gugliotta placed 6th in the 50 Breaststroke, 8th in the 100 Individual Medley and 15th in the 50 Backstroke.

Alicia Patterson took 10th in the 50 freestyle, 12th in the 50 Butterfly and 13th in the 100 Individual Medley.

David Morris raced home with a ribbon for 15th place in the 50 Backstroke.

The Eels also had swimmers score in the top 16 for points during the regular meet this season. The points where scored in the meets that they swam in the STSL West conference.

Boys Age 9 - Joseph Woods 13th; Zack Persijn 14th; Adrian Palasti 16th

Girls Age 9 - Sera McNally 15th

Boys Age 10 - Peter Skelly 14th; Sean Morris 15th

Girls Age 10 - Emily Gugliotta 6th; Alicia Patterson 9th; Teasha Brown 16th

Boys Age 11 - William Palasti 15th

Boys Age 12 - Tyler Easterbrook 8th; Joseph Skelly 12th

Girls Age 12 - Janelle Hager 14th; Sara Apenowich 15th;, Moriah Forsythe 16th

Boys Ages 13-14 Allen Wheaton 12th; Daniel Robinson 13th ; Seth Skelly 15th

Boys ages 17 and up: Steven Joint 7th
