R. Edward Ostrander BATH - R. Edward Ostrander, 77, former resident of Robie Street, Bath died Monday, April 16 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. He was born in Cohocton, Nov. 6, 1929 the son of Robert and Elizabeth Carbrey Ostrander. Ed purchased the Wolcott car dealership in 1970 when it became Ostrander Chevrolet. He was a member of the St. Mary's Church in Bath. He is survived by three daughters; Nancy (Stephen) Davy of Prattsburgh, Linda J. (Martin) Wesche of Newnan, Georgia and Janet L. (Michael) Brockway o f Margate, Florida; two sons, Tom L. (Kathy) Ostrander of Horseheads and John D. (Marie) Ostrander of Albany, Georgia, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister, Mary (Gene) McCann of Indiana, one brother, Richard C. (Mary) Ostrander of LasVegas, Nevada, brother-in-law, John Smith of Penn Yan and sisterin law, Delores Ostrander of California. He was predeceased by; his wife Mary, in 1998, with whom he was married 47 years at the time of her death; two sisters, Barbara Smith and Shirley Kapp, his brother James C. Ostrander and his daughter Ellen M. Ostrander in 1965. There will be no calling hours and graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in Edward's name may be made to the Arnot Ogden Medical Center Foundation, Stroke Program, 600 Roe Ave., Elmira, NY 14905. Fagan's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. |
