The Reverend Edward N. Howe BATH - Reverend Edward N. Howe, 101, of Country Valley Homes in Bath died Sunday, April 29 at the Steuben County Health Care Facility. He was born in Hartford, Nov. 7, 1905 the son of William and Viola Fidelina Landers Howe. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and also Boston University School of Theology. He was a member of the Wheeler Grange. Reverend Howe was ordained in 1933. Assistant Pastor at his first church, Lansing Larger Parish then he was Pastor at Flemington and Half Acre Union Church; thereafter, Cicero, New Hope and Kelloggsville, Virgil and East Virgil. Other parishes of Reverend Howe's were, East Smith field, Pennsylvania, Wetonia, Pennsylvania and Big Pond, Pennsylvania; back to New York at Ledgered, West Genoa, Venice Center, Apulia and Onativin, Perryville, Savannah and Tyre. More recently he was Pastor at the Kanona and Wheeler Methodist Churches and Prattsburgh, Pulteney, Cameron Mills and Rathbone. He is survived by his niece, Sandy Howe-Ryberg of Seattle, Washington, and nephew, Robert W. Howe of Seattle, Washington and his sister-in-law, Kathleen Howe-Bailey of Phoenix, Arizona. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold, Albert and Walter and his sisters Mildred and Ruth. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. at the Kanona United Methodist Church with Reverend's Kate Benton and Marilyn Wood officiating. Fagan's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
