Martin committed to youth development To the Editor, We are writing to you today because we would like to recognize an individual who has served as an outstanding role model and leader to the youth in our community. He has unselfishly donated countless hours of both time and talent to the scouts in his troop, the parishioners at his church and the young athletes on our sports fields. This individual is Todd Martin. Todd's commitment to the development of our youth makes him the ideal candidate for the Bath- Haverling School District: Board of Education. In our experience with Todd as the Leader of Troop 59, he always led by example. As an Eagle Scout, he is aware of the challenging road that must be traveled to attain the prestigious rank of Eagle. Nothing was handed to us; instead he taught us the techniques and life skills necessary to reach our goals. He organized and led the troop on an expedition through the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota; this is just one of the many opportunities we had to put those skills to the test. That trip is still a popular topic of conversation when we all get together. Today, we are both Eagle Scouts and we have Todd Martin to thank for helping us on our journey. Todd's experience and dedication would be an excellent addition to the Board of Education. I plan to give him the opportunity to make a difference in our children's lives.
