Neighborhood Watch efforts appreciated

To the editor:

A big thumbs up for the Bath Neighbor Watch group for their Saturday clean up efforts in the Village. Kudos also to the volunteers who helped, including some of the Village trustees and the help from the Bath P.D. I hope next year they can get more publicity and more people to help. It is held on the first Saturday of May with a rain date for the following Saturday. They also do a major project each year, and this year will be the three village playgrounds, cleaning up and helping paint the equipment. These will be done at a later date, and I am sure both Sarah Stratton and Evie Lamb would love more help. I did not know of their clean-up day, but I would be willing to help next year with publicity or whatever they need. It's all about caring for your town, wanting to make it and keep it beautiful. And volunteers can help pick up the slack...This group appreciates all the village does, but knows they can't do everything and so wants to help. Maybe this will inspire others in the village and town to spring clean. Mary-Ann Robinson Bath
