Martin could be key in school building project

To the Editor,

On Tuesday, the Haverling community will be voting on the school budget and the Board of Education candidates. The candidate I plan to vote for is Todd Martin. I have know Todd in several different capacities over the last 12 years; as a member of St. Mary's Church, the Bath Elks and Cub Scouts Pack 59 and Boy Scout Troop 59.

I believe Todd would be an excellent candidate for several reasons. Due to his profession as an architectural project manager, Todd would be an asset to our Board of Education and our community in any future building projects. Todd has worked on educational and health care building projects as a designer and project manager for the last 20 years. His experience could be invaluable to helping our Board of Education with making our next building project a successful one.

The second reason I plan to vote for Todd Martin is because of the work he does already with the youth of Bath. Todd's desire to help and encourage the leadership skills of our young men through Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for the last eight years has been evident in many of his former scouts that I know. As a scout leader, Todd has helped scouts learn many things but by being himself he has become a role model to our young. He has taught our young men, citizenship, cooperation, honesty, resourcefulness, respect and responsibility. These are values Todd believes in and will bring to Haverling's Board of Education. Please get out and vote on May 15 for the Bath-Haverling students. Ken DiDomineck Bath
