+ Tomorrow, June ll, at 7 p.m. in the new Hammondsport Public Library on William Street, will be the Book Discussion Group discussing Jennifer Weinner's "Little Earthquakes."

+ All the proceeds recently earned by the Pulteney Firemen's Auxiliary at their public dinner is going toward a new oven for the firehouse. They thank all who supported them in this endeavor.

+ This next Saturday, June l6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Mossy Bank Nature Center, at 10 a.m. Peter Roberts will present "Geology of the Bath- Hammondsport area. Attend and find out how this beautiful area came about.

+ The Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association is sponsoring again this year a Tree Fund Drive to plant trees along side Route 54 to enhance the appearance of the cemetery. The project will plant about 30 trees at an estimated $10,000. Tree height, type, locations and maintenance will all be done by the P.V.Cemetery Association. One may donate to this fund in memory of a loved one, so please do. + There are many places individuals in Hammondsport and the area can go to find Bone Builders groups. Bone Builders is an exercise and education program developed by scientists at Tufts University. The program is designed to reduce or halt the risk of osteoporsis. Church news:

+ St. Gabriel's Catholic Church: 78 Shethar St. Summer Sunday Masses have started for the season at 8 a.m. and will continue through Labor Day. Every Sunday throughout the year has an 11 a.m. Mass. Many, many birthday cards were sent to a young boy named Shane who has cancer and was asked by the Make A Wish Foundation what he would like for his 8th birthday, May 30. His answer was "A million birthday cards." To Schuylerville NY from Hammondsport and the area went a lot of cards from St. Gabriel's Church to help make his wish come true.
